In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Genesis 1:1 (KJV).
Since creation, there has been water on the earth, in the earth and even over the earth. We are surrounded by water, we need water to live and water makes up most of what our bodies are made of. Water wears down mountains, cuts into the earth and can steal away our lives if we fall into its grasp. Without water, nothing will grow, no snow will fall and the flow of rivers will only be the blowing of sand. Water is life.
Someday, there will be a new creation, a new heaven and earth, and a new us. We will be surrounded by the presence of our Father whose presence we will feel, no matter where we may go. His light will surround us and he will cause us to live forever. (I have no idea what our bodies will be made of). This new world will not wear us down or harm us and we will only gain more life in the grasp of God's hands. With God, we will forever grow, we will never fall and the flow of time will know no end. God is life.
The past is gone. I am enjoying this moment and each moment as it comes. I am looking forward to the days without end when I will get to know each of my brothers and sisters with whom I will spend eternity. God, like water, fills.
