whisper, SHOUT

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. Revelations 21:3 (KJV)

Doesn't God have a great voice? I am really looking forward to the day when I will hear from Him more than a whisper quietly speaking into my heart. I fully expect to be blown away by His voice on the day He speaks aloud for the the whole earth to hear. 

All the things that I long to hear in this life: that I am loved, I have a purpose, congratulations! you made it! These things will be spoken with so much volume and authority that my doubt will not be able to drown them out. Just thinking about what God will shout to the world is making me pause to listen to the quiet voice that I know is the prequel to The Great Event. 

What words are you longing to hear God cry aloud? What He shouts then, He wants you to hear now. It may take a moment of silent listening to hear, but it is definitely worth it.
